This Christmas tree is in Nazareth, site of the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior!
Georgia showed generous hospitality to the General Board of Global Ministries.
Thanks South Georgia for the way you worked with North Georgia in welcoming GBGM.
South Georgia you are SPECIAL and I am blessed to be your bishop.
A BIG THANK YOU for giving to ministry through the apportionments. You are a wonderful blessing to God’s glory as you give in ways that support God’s church and expand God’s Kingdom.
Greetings, beautiful people of South Georgia!
The beauty of life is the gift of choice today. Each day is an obvious gift of grace. We awaken with the fresh opportunity to begin anew. The old has passed away. The past is like a two-sided coin. On one side, the past problems can define us and help shape a negative view about the future. Past experiences that have been successful or favorable in some way can support a general attitude of entitlement. Very few Super Bowl champions repeat themselves the following year. On the other hand, the past can be a launching pad for a brand new opportunity to embrace a fresh hope or reclaim an unfinished plan with wisdom from the past.
Regarding the past, if you are open I invite you to pray this prayer:
Oh loving and holy God, give me the strength to let go of an unsatisfying past and claim with faith the best way forward for me.
In the name Jesus Christ, Amen.
